Height of luxury: new loft-style penthouses launch at riverside neighbourhood, Goodluck Hope

8 new penthouses just minutes from Canary Wharf released for sale

October 31, 2019

HONG KONG, 28 October 2019 – On Saturday 2 October, Ballymore and KFI will launch the highly anticipated collection of 8 luxury loft-style penthouses at Goodluck Hope, one of East London’s newest and most exciting riverside neighbourhoods.

Designed to offer residents modern, flexible luxury in one of the capital’s most exciting and enviable areas, ‘The Lofts’ are characterised by high vaulted ceilings and light-drenched open spaces. Each of the 8 new homes offer unparalleled views across London, overlooking the Thames and Canary Wharf.

With a refined industrial aesthetic and loft style architecture, ‘The Lofts’ truly embody the spirit of Goodluck Hope. The interior design is distinguished by an industrial aesthetic, drawing inspiration from the rich maritime history and industrial heritage of the surrounding Leamouth Peninsula. Distinct oak floorboards connect the living spaces, while the black and white mosaic bathroom flooring and grey bedroom carpets form part of the overarching clean colour palette.

Each of the 8 Loft Apartments will launch for sale on Thursday 7 November. The collection is split across 2 buildings, Argo and Orion, and made up of seven 3-bedroom apartments, which start at 1,265,000, and one 2-bedroom apartment starting at £ 1,100,000.

In addition, Ballymore will be launching the Ceylon building, 77 homes, available for sale with prices starting from £399,999. These homes include studios, 1, 2 and 3-bedroom homes, many with riverfront views.

New residents will have access to the 1595 Club, the development’s network of amenities situated under one roof within the heart of the development. All the amenities are designed to provide the best in wellness, co-working and entertainment, with facilities including a business centre, 25 metre swimming pool and Scandinavian style steam room. Residents will also be able to use the neighbouring facilities at City Island, which include an outdoor swimming pool, resident’s lounge and The Grocer - the island’s very own Italian deli and restaurant.

The new homes are positioned in the heart of Goodluck Hope, the new neighbourhood comprising of 804 homes located directly on the River Thames. Surrounded by water on three sides, the development redefines riverside living and is situated adjacent to City Island, Goodluck Hope is Ballymore’s latest east London success story, an extension of a strong footprint in east London which has already delivered some of the most ambitious regeneration schemes in the area.

Jenny Steen, Sales Director at Ballymore, commented: “Our vision for Goodluck Hope is to create a close-knit riverside community with architecturally striking buildings and first-rate amenities. With nearby City Island now a thriving, cultural hub which includes the newly opened English National Ballet headquarters, along with galleries, music and dance recording studios and creative workspaces, we are sure that there will be plenty of interest from buyers who want to become a part of our island community.”

Mandy Wong, Head of International Residential at JLL in Hong Kong, said: “Goodluck Hope received overwhelming market response when the developers launched the first phase in Hong Kong last year. We believe Goodluck Hope’s great location, along with Ballymore’s renowned quality will make it a desirable prospect for Hong Kong buyers.”
