The Greater Bay Area (GBA) comprises nine mainland Chinese cities in Guangdong Province (Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhaoqing, Dongguan, Huizhou, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen) alongside the two special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau.
The central government of the People’s Republic of China’s vision for the GBA is to establish a first-class, globally recognised urban and economic hub. The implementation of its GBA Outline Development Plan provides further guidance on the future development of the region and the business opportunities within.
