Community retailing: Uncovering the value of Hong Kong's neighbourhood malls
Neighbourhood malls are a retail asset type that caters more towards domestic consumers and one that has been less reliant on tourist spending. As such, investors have shown a growing interest in these smaller shopping centres over the past few years as a means to gain exposure to Hong Kong’s retail market. This paper will investigate the key drivers behind this trend and detail some of the fundamentals that support the investment case into this asset type.
