(Hereinafter known as the “Property”)
Pursuant to an Order for Sale made by the Lands Tribunal on 11th July 2022 in Land Compulsory Sale Main Application No. LDCS 29000 of 2020 (the“Order for Sale”) under Land (Compulsory Sale for Redevelopment) Ordinance (Cap. 545) (the“Ordinance”), the Property is to be sold by public auction. The auction will be held at 10:30 am on 25th August 2022 (Thursday) at 7/F, One Taikoo Place, 979 King’s Road, Hong Kong.
The purchaser of the Property and the purchaser’s successors in title will be subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3 of the Ordinance and the conditions specified in the Order for Sale and any subsequent directions made by the Lands Tribunal (if any).
Any person intending to make bids for the Property at the auction is required to register its/his name, particulars and (in the case of an individual) Hong Kong identity card number and (in the case of a company) Business Registration Number with Messrs. Hobson & Ma (the“Vendor’s Solicitors”) at 13/F, Tower 2, New World Tower, 18 Queen’s Road Central, Hong Kong before 5:00 pm on the working day immediately before the date of the auction. A cashier order or a cheque certified good for payment by the bank on which it is drawn for the sum of HK$50,000,000 made payable to “Messrs. Hobson & Ma”and drawn on a licensed bank in Hong Kong must be produced to and left with the Vendor’s Solicitors at the time of registration. The cashier order/certified cheque will be returned to the registered party who cannot successfully acquire the Property within three working days after the auction and the list of the registered parties (the“Applicant(s)”) and the recorded information will be kept in strict confidence. Only the bids from the persons who have complied with the said registration requirements will be accepted.
If Typhoon Signal No.8 or above is hoisted or Rainstorm Black Warning Signal is announced at any time before 10:00 am on the auction date, the auction will be postponed to 5:00 pm on 26th August 2022 (Friday) at 7/F, One Taikoo Place, 979, King’s Road, Hong Kong. If on or before the auction date (a) any or all of the Trustees appointed by the Lands Tribunal and/or Vendors and/or representatives of the Vendor’s Solicitors and/or the Auctioneer and/or the Applicant(s) is/are required to be hospitalised for being or suspected of being infected with Coronavirus Disease 2019 (“COVID-19”), or isolated/quarantined/detained under the provisions of the Prevention and Control of Disease Ordinance (Cap.599) or its subsidiary legislation (“PCDO”) due to COVID-19; (b) the office of the Auctioneer is the subject of an isolation order issued under the PCDO or is required to be closed for disinfection; or (c) restriction(s) or order(s) related to COVID-19 are imposed or issued such that the Auctioneer considers that it would no longer be appropriate to conduct the auction as scheduled, the auction shall be deferred until further notice. Information on the change of the auction arrangement (if any) will be announced at the webpage of the Auctioneer and the relevant newspapers.
Copies of the Order for Sale and the subsequent directions made by the Lands Tribunal (if any) and title documents are available for inspection (subject to prior appointment) during office hours (10:00 am to 5:00 pm) from 5th August 2022 to 24th August 2022 (except Saturday, Sunday and public holidays) at the office of the Vendor’s Solicitors.
