Royal Wharf, the centerpiece of London’s Royal Docks, releases new properties to the Hong Kong market

Hong Kong: 26 February 2015] Today, 74 new homes at landmark development Royal Wharf are released for sale in Hong Kong. With its outstanding connectivity, neighbourhood feel and unique Georgian-inspired architecture, the development promises to be one of the most sought after in London.

Royal Wharf, jointly developed by Oxley and Ballymore, will be a new neighbourhood of 3,385 riverside properties, complete with a high street of independent shops, bars and restaurants. Other than the five landscape parks adjacent to the development, residents can also enjoy 20,000 sq. ft. leisure facilities, with a 500m river frontage and views across the London skyline.

The development is situated at the heart of London's Royal Docks, an area identified by the Mayor of London as one of London's most significant regeneration zones, and one of the best connected places in the capital.

Royal Wharf has excellent transport links via Pontoon Dock on the Docklands Light Railway and Canning Town on the Jubilee Line. Residents will be able to reach the West End in 20 minutes*, Canary Wharf in 5 minutes* and London City Airport in 2 minutes*.

When the new Crossrail station at Custom House opens in 2018, journey time to the West End will be reduced to 15 minutes* and Heathrow Airport to just 41 minutes*. Crossrail will have a major impact on the value of property and investment potential at Royal Wharf with values expected to increase by 40% between December 2014 and December 2020.

According to JLL's recent report 'Identifying Crossrail Opportunities', areas of significant regeneration that also boast a Crossrail station, such as Royal Wharf, will benefit most from the 'Crossrail effect'.

The first phase of Royal Wharf was launched in London in March 2014 and sold out within days, making it one of the fastest selling developments of the year. Prospective buyers now have another opportunity to purchase in one of the capital's most exciting new destinations. The first residents will move into Royal Wharf in mid-2016, just two years after work began and in an unprecedented pace of development for London - the whole development will be completed by 2020.

The riverside properties, designed by Ballymore, comprise 1, 2, 3 & 4 bed apartments and suites. Royal Wharf's layout and design will maximise views of Canary Wharf, the O2, and the Thames Barrier. Inside the apartments there is a distinct blend of Georgian tradition with the best of modern living.
